Tamatha‘s Pampered Pets Policies
Payments and Appointments:
Payment is due at time of service. Cash required for first time clients. Subsequent visits may be paid with cash or check. Returned checks will be subject to a $35.00 fee, in addition to the grooming charge for which check was intended. Fees may apply if appointments are cancelled less than 24 hours prior to appointment.
Vaccination Requirement:
All pets bring groomed must be current on Rabies vaccinations. Proof of vaccinations via Veterinary paperwork will be required prior to grooming. This policy is to ensure the health and safety of both pet and groomer.
Health:
You will be asked to disclose all issues that the pet may have or has had in the past when going to the Vet or being groomed (i.e. aggressive tendencies, likes/dislikes and any health conditions) so groomer can be aware for the session.
Matted Pets:
Tamatha‘s Pampered Pelt Mobile Salon will provide MAXIMUM of 10 minutes of de-matting time, IF THE PET IS TOLERANT TO IT. Additional appointment/charges will apply or be recommended if more time is needed. De-matting a pet is very painful and ruins the coat. The safest alternative is to strip the pet and start the coal over. I will be happy to show you some brushing techniques for mat prevention.
Tamatha’s Pampered Pet Mobile Salon
is not liable for any condition uncovered by the groomer due to the matting and a veterinarian consultation will be recommended by the groomer to deal with the condition at the owners’ expense. Tamatha‘s Pampered Pets Mobile Salon does not diagnose medical conditions or prescribe medications.
Senior Pets:
Senior pets’ require additional time and care. All efforts are made to make your pet as comfortable as possible during the session.
Refusal of Services:
Tamatha‘s Pampered Pets Mobile Salon reserves the right to refuse service to overly aggressive pets, severely matted pets, or pets with health issues that require a visit to the veterinarian. Any issues (health or other) not disclosed to the groomer by the owner or unknown by the owner that is found by the groomer can result in the termination of the current grooming session at the owners’ expense and a request to seek veterinary counsel.
In the event that fleas or ticks are found, we will automatically use a flea & tick shampoo in which owner pays an additional fee.
Disclosing that a pet may have aggressive tendencies does not automatically result in a refusal to groom!
This allows the groomer to be mindful of the pet’s behavior while being groomed so the groomer can avoid being bitten and can avoid injury to the pet if the pet were to move suddenly during the grooming session.
